A country perhaps best known for its prolific black metal-scene, Greece nevertheless boasts a strong death metal tradition as well. Athens-based Dead Congregation may very well be one of the best old school death metal bands we have heard in the last fifteen years or so, with their superb resurrection of the sound and style of legendary acts like Demigod, Rottrevore, and Incantation.

Their 2008-debut «Graves of the Archangels» is already a modern classic, and any true fan of true death metal cannot miss out on this gig.
