Sólstafir

These Icelandic warriors have released consistently strong material since their inception in the mid-nineties, but it was their latest release, «Köld», which really put them in the spotlight with metal connoisseurs world wide. Originally a Black/ Viking Metal type of band, Sólstafir have gradually expanded their sound into an epic Psychedelic Rock sound, not entirely unlike “our own” Enslaved. Anyone with an eclectic taste in metal – and music, generally – would be well advised to be at USF Verftet, Friday, August 27.
